But Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed. (uke 5:16)
Silence and solitude are the gateway to communion with God. In our
first world, over scheduled, media blitzed lives, these virtues often
get pushed out. When we are internally centered and in harmony with
God life truly begins and we are able to act freely in unison with
God. This Learning Lab will focus on our practice and understanding of
prayer in our daily lives. We will explore the history of prayer,
different modes of prayer, and will practice prayer together as a
group. We will look at contemplative or silent prayer, body prayer,
poetic prayer, intercessory prayer and life prayer. Please join us as
we practice, explore and discuss seeking the heart of God. The class
will be held by Adam Klein and Lisa Scandrette.
Adam Klein a lead teacher with ReIMAGINE, is an engineer, poet,
tri-athlete. He has spent years experimenting with different modes of
prayer.
Lisa Scandrette is has been with ReIMAGINE since it's inception. She
is a mother of 3, and offers thoughtful and fresh insights into the
importance and practice of prayer.
